Jamie Vardy is not expected to decide his future on Monday
No decision is expected today from Leicester forward Jamie Vardy over his proposed move to Arsenal, according to Sky sources.
Widespread reports in the national press had claimed that the 29-year-old would make a decision on whether to leave the Premier League champions and join Arsenal before flying out with England for Euro 2016 on Monday morning.
But Vardy flew out with the rest of the England squad to France from Luton Airport, with his club future still unresolved.
Sky sources understand Vardy held talks with Arsenal over a move to the Emirates Stadium after the Gunners triggered a release clause in his contract with a £20m bid.
Leicester, according to the Daily Telegraph, have offered Vardy an improved contract in a bid to keep him at the King Power Stadium, just four months after he signed a new four-year deal at the club.
Vardy scored 24 times in all competitions as Leicester won the 2015-16 Premier League title
Vardy enjoyed a sensational 2015-16 season, scoring 24 goals in all competitions as Leicester claimed an unlikely Premier League title, with Arsenal finishing 10 points behind in second.
The former Stocksbridge Park Steels, Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town player would become Arsene Wenger's second signing of the close season following the acquisition of midfielder Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
