Outgoing Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims he is too good to play in Sweden amid rumours of a possible return to Malmo.
Ibrahimovic will be out of contract at the end of this month, having spent four successful seasons at PSG, scoring 113 goals in 122 appearances.
The 34-year-old on Monday promised to play for Malmo – who gave him his professional debut back in 1999 – again before he hangs up his boots, fueling more speculation about his future.
However, just two days later, the Sweden captain believes he still has a lot to offer on the global stage, before he makes his return to domestic football.
"I am too good for Allsvenskan," Ibrahimovic told a news conference on Wednesday. "I want you to write stories, they get me excited, and see who can make up the best ones. When I get tired of them, I'll let you know where I'll go.
"Let’s see what happens. I am just warming up. I had a great season, a fantastic season so I proved age is just a number. Everything is in your head. Everything you want to do, you do. If I want to make it, I will make it. If I want to do it I will do it."
