West Ham to open contract talks in bid to end Liverpool interest

The Daily Mail claim the Hammers are desperate to tie the 26-year-old to a new deal and end interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.

Cresswell impressed once again in the Premier League this season as he scored twice and provided four assists for his team-mates.

The left-back signed a five-year deal last summer but West Ham co-owner David Sullivan is poised to start new negotiations.

Hammers manager Slaven Bilic is a huge fan of Cresswell and sees him as an integral player in his first-team.

The former Liverpool trainee is wanted by officials at Anfield who are looking at replacements for Alberto Moreno.

Incoming City boss Pep Guardiola is also in the market for a left-back as he looks to strengthen his defence.

The Spaniard is monitoring Cresswell ahead of a possible summer swoop.

Michail Antonio and Darren Randolph will also be offered new deals as West Ham prepare to move to the Olympic Stadium.

Antonio has three years left to run on his contract but will be rewarded for his outstanding recent form for the Hammers.
