The Belgium international's father has revealed that a transfer is close but insists the striker will not be heading to Serie A
Romelu Lukaku’s father claims Everton want £65 million for Romelu Lukaku and believes the striker will be sold before Euro 2016.
The Belgium international has scored 25 goals in 46 appearances for Everton this season and has been linked with a host of clubs including Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Juventus.
Lukaku has already stated his desire to play for a Champions League club next season and his father now claims that an Everton exit is close.
"Everton are asking around £65m for Rom. I think a transfer will be done before the Euros," Roger Lukaku told Humo.
"Romelu will decide his future, but agents have the last word most of the time. I hope and I think Mino Raiola is an honest man.
"Now, with Romelu it will be quickly arranged. Has the transfer has been sorted? Almost. I think it will be in place before the European Championship.
"At the moment I think Manchester United or Bayern Munich are most suitable for him, especially Bayern.
"He won't go to Italy, because they keep it closed at the back, too difficult for an attacker.
"What is certain, to continue to make progress, he needs to change clubs, but we are mainly engaged in making the right choice."
