Rafa Benitez will consider his options of staying as Newcastle United's coach in the British Championship after the team failed to secure a spot in the Premier League next season.

The Newcastle fans showed their support towards the Spanish coach and Benitez could now stay with the club even though his contract with them included an option to leave the club if they were relegated.
"They made me think about the future, I feel the love of the fans and everyone else and I will consider it, although the most important thing is that we're on the same page," said Benitez.
Newcastle and Benitez signed their contract with the clear goal in mind of staying in the Premier League, but the fans and the club's support has surprised Benitez.
"I knew how big this club was, but I've been impressed by the fans and everyone else here," he added.
Benitez and Newcastle will announce their decision in due course.
