Chievo and Bologna concluded their respective Serie A campaigns by grinding out a disappointing goalless draw in torrential rain in Verona.
The mid-table sides had already achieved their mutual aims of staying up and looked complacent across 90 minutes at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.
Bologna's on-loan Sunderland winger Emanuele Giaccherini whipped the ball just wide with a powerful drive after 14 minutes and his team-mate Matteo Brighi attempted an acrobatic scissor-kick volley as time ticked away.
Roberto Donadoni may have coached Bologna for the last time as he has been linked with a return to his former club AC Milan.
