PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently in discussions to join in MLS side LA Galaxy, according to ESPN.
The Swedish international, who is out of contract in July, confirmed on Friday that he will not be returning to PSG for the 2016-17 season, but made no further comment on who he will play for next season.
Ibrahimovic, who has had a glittering career – playing for the likes of AC Milan, Barcelona, Juventus and Inter Milan – joined PSG in 2012 and has since become a pivotal player in the clubs success. He has scored 152 goals in 178 games for French Ligue 1 champions and will no doubt be on the wish list of most big clubs.
However, it appears the striker could close down any links from Manchester United and former club AC Milan, to join MLS side LA Galaxy.
LA Galaxy president Chris Klein has refused to comment on Ibrahimovic but one source told ESPN that should the forward reach an agreement with MLS, his destination would indeed be the Galaxy.
The source apparently told ESPN “I think it’s going to happen”, which certainly makes for an interesting few months regarding this situation.
