Caen climbed to eighth place in the Ligue 1 table with a 2-1 victory over Nantes.
The visitors, who began the match behind their opponents on goal difference, took the lead after only five minutes through Ronny Rodelin's header.
Just before half-time, Caen were presented with a golden chance to make it two after Anthony Walongwa handled in the box.
Andy Delort made no mistake from the penalty spot and, although Alejandro Bedoya made it a nervous finish by pulling one back 12 minutes from time, Caen held on to take the three points and a seventh away win of the campaign.
