Angers SCO 0 - 1 Marseille: Marseille secure Ligue 1 status with Angers victory

Struggling Marseille secured their Ligue 1 status for next season thanks to a slender 1-0 win at Angers.
The visitors led at the break thanks to a tidy Michy Batshuayi finish after Steve Fletcher's threaded pass released the Belgian into the right side of the area.
Despite some late second-half pressure from the hosts, with Pierrick Capelle's volley shaving the bar and the unmarked Billy Ketkeophomphone wasting an opportunity from 12 yards out, Marseille held on for a vital three points.
Defeat for Angers ends their slim hopes of qualifying for a European place, trailing fifth-placed Nice by seven points.
