Forfar Athletic vs Brechin City - Forfar duo banned for Brechin clash
Posted Saturday, April 30, 2016 by PA
Forfar, who will spend next season in League Two, are without the banned Thomas O'Brien and Kerr Hay against local rivals Brechin City.
The Loons are also without the injured Michael Travis (knee) and Michael Dunlop (leg).
Manager Gary Bollan said: "There is a lot of local pride at stake so we cannot go into this game feeling sorry for ourselves.
"Brechin have done tremendously well recently but we want to end the season on a winning note. There will be a lot of other pressure on Brechin in this game, and whilst I would have liked to have that pressure as opposed to relegation, we can play without fear."
Brechin have ruled out defender Jessam Sukar with a back injury with striker David Weatherston absent due to a hamstring problem.
Player-manager Darren Dods wants his squad to give their all despite already being safe from relegation.
He said: "We have looked down and out a few times this season but the players have turned things around. They have won seven games out of the past nine and avoided relegation.
"Now we could miss the play-offs and it would be great if they could climb another mountain to do that. However, this is a derby game and Forfar will want to drag us into trouble so it will not be easy."
