Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven will play with a new shirt sponsor for the first time in over 30 years next season after signing a three-year deal with Energidirect.
The deal, worth 6 million euro per year, will begin at the start of the 2016/17 season, and will run for three seasons. The agreement means electronics giant and club founder Phillips will not feature on the front of the Boerens' shirt for the first time in more then three decades.
"We have found a new partner that matches our vision of entrepreneurship," said PSV general manager Toon Gerbrands. "The way they have presented to us is very professional, we look forward to working together."
Mark van Zon, commercial director at Energidirect, added: "This is a great club with a rich history. Above all, PSV is an enterprising, innovative club with the ambition to grow at the top of the Eredivisie."
As a founding partner of the club, Phillips will remain closely linked with PSV and retain naming rights to the home stadium albeit on a decreased financial basis after signing a reduced 22.5 million euro deal at the start of the season.
PSV are currently second in the Eredivisie table behind Ajax Amsterdam, but only on goal difference, with two games left in the season.
