Guingamp 1 - 1 Caen: Guingamp get the point thanks to Jeremy Sorbon header

Posted Monday, April 25, 2016 by PA

Guingamp edged ever closer to Ligue 1 safety after coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Caen in a game that saw both sides finish with 10 men.

Ronny Rodelin gave the visitors the lead on the half-hour mark from Julien Feret's pass, escaping the attentions of the Guingamp defence before blasting beyond Jonas Loss from inside the area.

When Thibault Giresse was dismissed late on for a nasty challenge on Jeff Louis a Caen win looked the most likely outcome.

However, l'EAG grabbed a fortuitous point when Jeremy Sorbon's back-post header from Pereira's free-kick beat Remy Vercoutre with eight minutes to play - before Caen's Nicolas Seube was shown his second yellow in added time.
