AFC Wimbledon 1 - 0 Leyton Orient: AFC Wimbledon striker Lyle Taylor adds to his tally in victory over Orient

Lyle Taylor's 20th Sky Bet League Two goal of the season was enough for AFC Wimbledon to defeat Leyton Orient 1-0 and keep alive their play-off charge.

The goal came in the 18th minute when George Francomb shrugged off Peter Ramage on the right wing before supplying Tom Elliott with a pass. His shot was blocked in the six-yard box, but Taylor was on hand to fire home.

Wimbledon's top scorer, who now has six goals in five games, nearly made it 2-0 eight minutes later when his sweetly-struck effort was saved by Alex Cisak, low to his right.

He also set up a chance for Elliott in the 34th minute which forced Cisak to punch away his thunderous shot.

Orient were struggling with top scorer Jay Simpson out injured and the game was nearly put out of sight in the 70th minute when Barry Fuller's cross found Andy Barcham, who could only hit his shot straight at Cisak.

A final chance fell to the hosts late on as neat build-up play was ended by Adebayo Azeez firing into the side-netting but the Dons remain neatly placed in seventh.
