Mansfield Town vs Barnet - Mansfield defender Krystian Pearce back from ban to face Barnet

Posted Friday, April 22, 2016 by PA

In-form Mansfield will have defender Krystian Pearce available against Barnet on Saturday after a three-match suspension.

The Stags, six points adrift of seventh-placed AFC Wimbledon, have an outside chance of making the play-offs and Pearce's return could prove timely.

Midfielder Chris Clements is still out with a hamstring injury as Mansfield go in search of a fourth consecutive win in Sky Bet League Two.

Defender Daniel Alfei is also troubled by a hamstring strain, having missed the 3-2 midweek victory at Exeter, while Chris Clements is out for the season.

Barnet manager Martin Allen has no fresh injury or suspension concerns as his side travel to Field Mill.

Gavin Hoyte is back in training but not fit enough to be included in the squad this weekend.

The Bees won 3-1 against Notts County on Tuesday night and Allen is hoping to extend their unbeaten run to four games.

Top goalscorer John Akinde will be looking to score for the second time this week and is currently the fourth highest goalscorer in the league with 18.
