Redknapp convinced FA Cup can save LVG at Man Utd

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp believes Louis van Gaal will keep his job if Manchester United win the FA Cup.
Redknapp wrote in the London Evening Standard: "Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is facing the biggest fight to save his job.
"Every week seems to bring another story confirming Jose Mourinho is about to take over but Van Gaal keeps clinging on.
"I thought he had ridden the storm but I've heard rumours resurfacing again that the club are leaning towards a change this summer. A victorious FA Cup campaign could be enough to reassure the United board they have the right man — although he probably needs a top-four Premier League finish, too.
"They haven't won it since 2004 and 12 years is too long to wait for a club of United's size. In years gone by, we'd all expect United to win both the League and the Cup but times change. There is no doubt that he has a much better chance of staying on if he can put a trophy on the table when they review his position at the end of the season."
