MANCHESTER UNITED assistant manager Ryan Giggs has been linked with the Celtic job.

Ronny Deila has confirmed he will leave the Bhoys at the end of the season.

And according to the Daily Mail, Giggs is in the frame to replace the Norwegian at Parkhead.

The Welshman is is currently Louis van Gaal’s assistant at Old Trafford and is said to have reservations over continuing his career in the Scottish Premiership.

Giggs sees his long-term future as a manager, but he is unsure wether a move north of the border would represent a step up as he looks to challenge himself.

Celtic are likely to dominate domestically next season, despite the return of rivals Rangers into the Scottish top flight.

And Giggs wants clarification over his long-term role with United before he decides to end his 28-year association with the club.

The Red Devils legend has been earmarked as a future manager at Old Trafford.

But with Jose Mourinho widely expected to replace Van Gaal in the summer, his route to the hot-seat remains unclear.

Celtic are understood to be aware of Giggs’s reservations and have have other potential replacements for Delia in mind, including Neil Lennon and David Moyes.
