Chievo 5 - 1 Frosinone: Five-star Chievo damage Frosinone's survival chances

Posted Thursday, April 21, 2016 by PA

Nine-man Frosinone suffered a major setback in their battle to beat the Serie A drop when losing 5-1 at Chievo.

Daniel Ciofani's fifth-minute goal gave the promoted team hope but Arlind Ajeti's subsequent dismissal afforded Chievo extra space and they levelled through Antonio Floro Flores after 36 minutes.

Sergio Pellissier's penalty turned the game on its head just after the break and Raman Chibsah's red card in the 54th minute left Frosinone wide open.

Two goals in three minutes from Nicola Rigoni and Gennaro Sardo confirmed the outcome and Pellissier squeezed home a fifth Chievo goal 10 minutes from time.
