Scunthorpe vs Bury - Same again for Scunthorpe against Bury

Posted Monday, April 18, 2016 by PA

Scunthorpe boss Graham Alexander is expected to select his side for the visit of Bury from an unchanged squad.

Alexander has no new injury or suspension worries following Saturday's 1-1 home draw against Bradford but is still without several injured players.

Jamie Ness missed out at the weekend due to a calf injury and will not be risked so Stephen Dawson looks set to continue in midfield.

Defender Scott Wiseman remains sidelined after surgery to remove a bone growth, as does winger Jim O'Brien (groin) and midfielder Sean McAllister (ankle).

Bury, who are now safe from relegation, could have defender Joe Riley back in contention for the trip to Glanford Park.

The 24-year-old has missed the last two games after suffering an ankle injury during the draw at Burton.

Midfielders Andrew Tutte (hamstring) and Jacob Mellis (ankle) are likely to remain sidelined while goalkeeper Rob Lainton (groin) is unlikely to play again this season.

The Shakers go into the game in good spirits after their weekend victory at Swindon - a first away win in almost three months - guaranteed League One status for another season.
