Wycombe vs Yeovil - Wycombe in search of play-off spot

Posted Monday, April 18, 2016 by PA

Wycombe entertain Yeovil looking to maintain their hopes of a Sky Bet League Two play-off spot.

Wanderers go into the game two points off the play-offs in eighth place but manager Gareth Ainsworth is still dealing with a number of injuries.

Matt Bloomfield has a broken arm while Luke O'Nien and Sam Wood (both knee), Danny Rowe (hamstring) Alex Lynch (thigh) and Paris Cowan-Hall (ankle) are all absent.

Wycombe were at least boosted by the returns of Jason McCarthy and Aaron Pierre in the 1-1 draw with Barnet and both should be involved.

Yeovil head to Adams Park knowing their Football League status is already secure and boss Darren Way has no fresh injury or suspension concerns.

The Glovers lost 2-1 at Bristol Rovers on Saturday but results elsewhere ensured they would not suffer a third straight relegation.

Leroy Lita scored his first goal for the club against the Pirates after coming off the bench and may be given a chance from the start but one of Yeovil's six loanees will have to miss out with Harry Cornick the unlucky one over the weekend.

Marc Laird has recovered from a hamstring injury and may start but Darren Ward, Wes Fogden, Jordan Gibbons and Omar Sowunmi all remain long-term absentees.
