Ten-man Angers kept alive their slim hopes of qualifying for a European spot thanks to an impressive 3-1 win in Bordeaux.

The visitors had to play almost an hour with only 10 men after Ismael Traore was given a straight red card for a nasty looking challenge on defender Pablo.

Despite their disadvantage they took a quick-fire two-goal second half lead when Cheikh N'Doye rose highest to power home Thomas Mangani's delivery before Mohamed Yattara fired beyond Jerome Prior with the help of Frederic Guilbert deflection to stun the home crowd.

Diego Rolan reduced the visitors' advantage, following up after Malcom's free-kick came back off the woodwork, but Angers made sure of the points when Gregory Bourillon lobbed a header over Prior with three minutes left to play.
