Paul Robinson headed the only goal of the game late on as AFC Wimbledon beat Crawley 1-0 to remain on track for the Sky Bet League Two play-offs

The first half was scrappy from both teams, though just the final ball was missing from some promising build-up play from the hosts.

However, Crawley came closest to scoring in the 22nd minute when an outswinging corner by Lyle Della-Verde was met by captain Sonny Bradley, who looped a header on to the top of the crossbar.

The visitors started the second half on the front foot with Kelle Roos saving a Lee Barnard half-volley before Della-Verde saw his long-range strike go just over the bar.

Soon after, Adebayo Akinfenwa flashed a header over for Wimbledon when he had beaten Crawley goalkeeper Jack Rose to the ball.

Then, on 82 minutes, Robinson met a Barry Fuller cross and planted a header into the bottom left-hand corner, leaving Rose motionless and securing a vital three points for seventh-placed Wimbledon.
