Stranraer vs Dunfermline - Stranraer face Dumbarton after weekend off

Play-off chasing Stranraer return to action after a fortnight off when they entertain champions Dunfermline.

The Blues are missing long-term injured goalkeeper David McGurn (toe) and player-assistant manager Lee Mair (ankle).

Manager Brian Reid said: "We gave the players a free weekend to give those who have been carrying knocks a chance to recover properly ahead of facing a good Dunfermline side.

"Dunfermline will come here without pressure and we have to handle the fact that we need to get something to ensure that we remain in the top four. We had a good win in our last game against Airdrie and a repeat of that form is required."

Dunfermline have Ben Richards-Everton back in their ranks after a one-game ban, however Callum Fordyce remains out due to a broken leg.

Manager Allan Johnston is not letting his standards slip.

He explained: "I am looking for a performance and a result at Stranraer. They have improved throughout the season and are chasing a play-off place so this game needs our full concentration and effort.

"They also have a good number of players who used to play for Dunfermline and will use that as motivation. However, we are looking to finish on a high and we have players playing for contracts so there is plenty at stake."
