Wycombe Wanderers vs Barnet - Matt Bloomfield blow for Wycombe

Posted Friday, April 15, 2016 by PA

Wycombe will be without midfielder Matt Bloomfield for the home game against Barnet.

Bloomfield became the latest player to join boss Gareth Ainsworth's injury list when he fractured his arm while equalising in last week's draw at York.

Luke O'Nien (knee), fellow midfielder Sam Wood (knee), defender Danny Rowe (hamstring), forward Paris Cowan-Hall (ankle) and goalkeeper Alex Lynch (thigh) all remain sidelined.

Jason McCarthy and Aaron Pierre are both expected to feature after overcoming knocks while Joe Jacobson will be monitored after missing out last week.

Barnet could be without 18-goal striker John Akinde, who scored twice in the 3-0 home win at Leyton Orient.

Bees manager Martin Allen gave his players most of the week off, with his side sitting comfortably in mid-table, so will assess Akinde and the rest of the squad ahead of the trip to Adams Park.

Defenders Sam Muggleton and Andy Yiadom are not fit, while midfielder Curtis Weston has suffered a flare-up of a groin problem so has been ruled out.

Allen indicated he is likely to hand a couple more youngsters the chance of first-team experience, so will rotate his squad once again.
