Dumbarton vs Queen of South - Darren Barr back in Dumbarton frame
Posted Monday, April 11, 2016 by PA
Dumbarton welcome back Darren Barr from a thigh injury as the Sons look to take a step closer towards Championship safety against Queen of the South.
The on-loan Tom Walsh is also available after not being allowed to feature against parent club Rangers in Dumbarton's last game when they lost 1-0 at Ibrox.
Manager Stephen Aitken said: "As well as the motivation of moving five points clear of second-bottom Livingston we have the motivation of making up for the 6-0 defeat from Queen's the last time we played them.
"We played very poorly so we have a number of reasons to want to win this one."
Queen of the South have doubts over Jordan Marshall, Kyle Hutton and Derek Lyle as they look to finish the season as high up the table as possible after seeing their play-off hopes end at the weekend.
Manager James Fowler said: "Our defeat from Raith Rovers on Saturday saw them make the play-offs. They deserved it as they have been consistent all season but we more than matched them throughout the game.
"Weaknesses in both penalty boxes have cost us all season and hopefully we can start putting things right for next season at Dumbarton. If we cannot finish fourth then I want us to finish fifth."
