Deportivo La Coruna 1 - 3 Las Palmas: Sergio Araujo at the double as Las Palmas hit back to win

Sergio Araujo fired Las Palmas to a fourth straight away win as they came from behind to beat Deportivo La Coruna 3-1 in the Primera Division.

Depor were leading thanks to Lucas Perez's 16th goal of the season just after half-time.

But Araujo scored twice either side of David Garcia's strike to lift Las Palmas above their hosts and into 10th.

Depor dominated the first half, but Perez missed their best chance when clean through on goal, blazing wastefully over the crossbar.

But their goal arrived two minutes after the interval courtesy of a fine piece of anticipation from Perez and a lapse in concentration from Las Palmas.

Perez read a hopeful up and under from Fernando Navarro better than the visiting back four and brought the ball down superbly before tucking it past Javi Varas.

Las Palmas thought they had equalised in the 55th minute, but Nili was offside when he fired past Depor goalkeeper Manu.

However, they only had to wait another three minutes to draw level as Araujo ran on to Momo's through-ball and slotted it first time inside Manu's near post.

And in the 79th minute Jonathan Viera's cross was pulled back across goal by Aythami Artiles for Garcia to tuck home from close range.

Depor should have equalised in stoppage time, but Perez crashed his shot against the crossbar from six yards out.

Instead they were hit by a sucker punch as Araujo finished a rapid counter-attack to secure the points for the visitors.
