Chievo 1 - 0 Carpi: Late Chievo winner pushes Carpi closer to Serie A trapdoor

Chievo substitute Sergio Pellissier struck a blow to Carpi's hopes of securing a second season in Serie A.
The striker clambered off the bench to secure a 1-0 victory at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, after Carpi had looked good value for a point.
Lucas Castro was the first player to truly threaten the reigning Serie B champions as he bore down on Vid Belec on the hour mark.
But the Slovenian goalkeeper could not keep Pellissier's conversion of an Alessandro Gamberini assist out of his net in the 87th minute, and Carpi were left dangling just above the drop zone.
