US Sassuolo Calcio 0 - 1 Genoa: Genoa put dent in Sassuolo's bid for Europe

Blerim Dzemaili poured cold water on Sassuolo's quest for a Europa League place by firing Genoa to a 1-0 victory at the Mapei Stadium.
Seventh-placed Sassuolo are hot on AC Milan's heels but missed the chance to replace them after suffering only a third home defeat of the season.
Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin made a fine save to deny Nicola Sansone before, in the 42nd minute, Dzemaili turned Tim Matavz's shot home after the Slovenian's effort hit a post.
Perin later preserved all three points for Genoa by denying Francesco Magnanelli after Ezequiel Munoz's error left the stopper totally exposed.
