Newport County vs Cambridge United - Lenell John-Lewis back for Cambridge clash
Posted Friday, April 08, 2016 by PA
Newport's striking options have increased for the Sky Bet League Two visit of Cambridge with the return of Lenell John-Lewis.
John-Lewis ended a three-month absence with a ruptured hamstring by coming off the bench in the Exiles' fourth successive defeat at Yeovil last weekend.
But the former Lincoln and Grimsby frontman may be kept in reserve again with the on-loan Souleymane Coulibaly set for a home debut.
Defender Andrew Hughes (hip) and winger John-Christophe Ayina (groin) are hoping to return to the squad.
Shane O'Neill could return for Cambridge.
O'Neill, who is on loan from Apollon Limassol, missed last week's draw at Accrington after his return from international duty with the United States Under-23 squad.
Midfielder Ryan Donaldson is missing once again with a knee problem and is still at least a few weeks away from a return.
Conor Newton will miss the rest of the season with a back-related hamstring injury, while Barry Corr (knee) and Greg Taylor (ankle) are also out for the remainder of the campaign.
