Barcelona chief gives Neymar update: Manchester United fans will be stunned
SUPERSTAR: Neymar has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp

Bartomeu says he will not allow any club to open talks with one of his prized assets.

He is confident that the 24-year-old will sign an extension to his current contract, which is set to expire in 2017.

"If someone wants to negotiate with Neymar, we will not give them permission," he told Globo Esporte.

"Neymar will stay at Barcelona."

Manchester United are understood to be interested in signing the Brazilian superstar.

According to his father, the Red Devils made an unsuccessful £145m bid to bring him to Old Trafford last summer.

Paris St-Germain have also been linked, with the player’s agent recently hinting that his client could be tempted by a move to France.

Wagner Ribeiro told L’Equipe: "Neymar has a contract with Barcelona until 2018 and he is feeling very well at Barcelona.

"He is a beloved player there and is part of the best team in the world.

"It is not easy to impose yourself at such a huge club, but the prospect of living in a city like Paris and playing for a club like PSG is a dream for every player too.”

Neymar has been in impressive form this season, scoring 27 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona.
