Jose Mourinho is already “working on transfers” ahead of a potential move to Manchester United this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
"The Special One" has been out of top-level football since being sacked by Chelsea in December, yet his stock has remained high.
Suggestions that a ‘pre-contract agreement’ is in place between the Portuguese tactician and Man United have been doing the rounds, but with nothing signed there have been suggestions that other teams are interested – including the Syrian national side.
However, respected Italian football journalist, Romano, has revealed that a deal to take Mourinho to Manchester could well be in place, with the controversial gaffer already “working on transfers” for a new-look side.
In response to a fan asking him about "Mou"s’ potential move to Old Trafford on Twitter, he said:
"Mou will be new Man United manager. Don’t worry. He’s working on transfers."
Mourinho has already been linked with a host of big name players amid suggestions that he wants to re-build the club’s "spine".
