Livingston 0 - 0 Alloa Athletic: Alloa relegated after stalemate at Livingston

Steven Hetherington was sent off late on as a goalless draw with Livingston condemned Alloa to relegation from the Scottish Championship.

The league's bottom two sides cancelled each other out in a game of few chances before Hetherington capped off a miserable afternoon with five minutes to go, cynically taking down Jordyn Sheerin.

The two teams traded blows early on, with Michael Duffy heading narrowly past the Livi post before Jordan White forced Scott Gallacher into a smart save at his near post after some tricky wing play.

Morgyn Neill headed just over from a corner as the hosts began to take control, but they were left vulnerable at the back as Duffy again went close with a half-volley from the edge of the area.

Isaac Layne could have rescued a victory for Alloa late on but failed to connect with the goal gaping, leaving them facing the prospect of League One football next season.
