Exeter City 2 - 1 Plymouth Argyle: Ollie Watkins inspires Exeter comeback with late double in Devon derby

Local lad Ollie Watkins won the Devon derby for Exeter City with a sensational stoppage-time strike in a 2-1 victory over rivals Plymouth Argyle.
Watkins picked the ball up and lashed a brilliant shot from 25 yards out that flew into the top corner giving goalkeeper Luke McCormick no chance.
The first half was a very cagey affair with few chances for either side, but it was Plymouth that looked more likely.
In fact, the Pilgrims did have the ball in the net when Craig Woodman failed to deal with a chance into the box and Jake Jervis rammed home the loose ball, but Argyle's joy was short-lived as the referee awarded a foul on the fortunate home defender.
Eventually, Argyle's dominance told after 57 minutes when the hosts again failed to deal with a long ball and it dropped invitingly for Jamille Matt, who rammed home his third goal in three games.
However, Exeter drew level after 80 minutes with a goal out of nothing and their first shot on target. Watkins received the ball with his back to goal 20 yards out and drilled a stunning shot into the bottom corner, but he bettered that 10 minutes later to put a huge dent in Plymouth's promotion aspirations.
