Darmstadt 2 - 2 VfB Stuttgart: Darmstadt and Stuttgart share spoils from Bollenfalltorstadion battle

Darmstadt and Stuttgart still have some work to do in ensuring their top-flight status next season after sharing four goals in a 2-2 draw at the Bollenfalltorstadion on Saturday.
Given Sandro Wagner's form this season, he did not need an invitation to add to his tally, but he was given one with Geoffroy Serey Die's pass putting him clean through on goal, and he provided the composed finish for his 12th of the season.
Christian Gentner brought Stuttgart level on the stroke of half-time with a textbook volley beating Christian Mathenia from Filip Kostic's cross.
There was still time for Lukas Rupp to volley in a second for Stuttgart before the half-time whistle sounded, after Artem Kravets headed the ball down to him just inside the penalty area.
Peter Niemeyer headed Darmstadt back on terms from Mario Vrancic's free-kick in the 52nd minute, but neither side were able to find a winner, leaving them still needing a few more wins to be certain of their places in the Bundesliga next season.
