Mancini open to Gunners switch

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is keen on the idea of succeeding Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager, according to reports from Leggo.

The Italian tactician is best known in England for his spell with Manchester City, during which time he guided the Sky Blues to their first ever Premier league title and won the FA Cup.

Although he was eventually sacked, Mancini has enjoyed a glittering managerial career, scooping three Serie A titles on the spin with Inter between 2005 and 2008, as well as numerous cup wins with the same side and both Lazio and Fiorentina.

And reports claim that amid links with the Arsenal job and a Premier League return, the suave Italian has had his head somewhat turned.

It’s understood that should Wenger step down the former Man City coach is keen to take over in the north of London.

The Gunners boss is currently under an increased level of scrutiny, with his side having slipped out of the title race and been eliminated from both the FA Cup and Champions League over the course of the past few weeks.
