Bolton vs Reading - Wellington Silva to miss Royals clash

Posted Thursday, March 31, 2016 by PA

Bolton winger Wellington Silva will miss the visit of Reading with a groin strain.

Forward Gary Madine is a doubt for the game while defender Neil Danns will be assessed before kick-off.

Interim Bolton manager Jimmy Phillips has confirmed midfielder Jay Spearing will not play again this season as one more appearance would trigger a bonus payment to Liverpool which the cash-strapped club cannot afford.

The international break has given striker Emile Heskey (hip) a better chance of returning but Max Clayton (hamstring), Dorian Dervite and Ben Amos (both ankle) are all still out.

Michael Hector and Hal Robson-Kanu are injury doubts for Reading.

Midfielder Hector will be assessed after he sustained a knock playing for Jamaica against Costa Rica during the international break.

Winger Robson-Kanu is likely to miss out after he suffered an injury during the 1-1 draw with Cardiff two weeks ago.

Midfielder Aaron Tshibola is still out with a hamstring injury which could sideline him for the rest of the season.
