The Swede is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer when he contract ends, with a host of clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham interested in bring the flamboyant striker to England.

The 34-year-old has even hinted that he wants to play for an English club, saying: "Yes, there is interest from the Premier League, I can confirm that.

"The Premier League is the league in the world all people and fans speak about.

"To make it very clear, there are no negotiations at all with PSG, I'm not going to represent them the coming season. I had four amazing years with them.

"A lot of things have to feel fine when I'm going to take a decision this summer."

And according to the Daily Mail, Ibrahimovic wants a wage packet which will make him the highest paid player ahead of Wayne Rooney, who is on £260,000 at United.

A deal insider is quoted as saying: “We would like to sign him, but the money is crazy.

''We get that he would be a significant capture, but is he really worth that money — and at the age of 34?”

Ibrahimovic is understood to have an even bigger offer of £1million-a-week to move to China on the table.
