Spanish outlet Sport claim Pep Guardiola has made the France international his top target for when he takes over at the Etihad at the end of the season.
Chelsea reportedly had a £70m bid turned down for Pogba last summer and Real Madrid are also monitoring the 23-year-old.
The former Manchester United man has been the centre of transfer speculation but Juve’s club director Giuseppe Marotta is adamant Pogba won’t be leaving Serie A.
He said: “Pogba is a Juventus player and still has an ongoing contract with us.
''Plus he has also told us about his intention to stay with us. All the conditions are there for him to continue with Juventus for the upcoming years.
''The Juventus jersey is something you honour right until the end.”
But Guardiola has told City’s owners Pogba is key to his plans at the club if they want to compete on all fronts.
Chelsea and City will battle Real for the midfield star with a bid of £75m needed to force Juve into accepting any move.
The current Bayern Munich manager is keen to get the deal done before Euro 2016 to ensure his price tag doesn’t increase any further should he help France to glory.
Pogba has been in stunning form for Juventus this season scoring eight goals and providing 11 assists.
