Ter Stegen considering Barcelona exit

Germany goalkeeping coach Andrea Kopke believes Marc-Andre ter Stegen could push for a move away from Barcelona unless he is afforded more first team chances.
Ter Stegen joined the Catalans from Gladbach in 2014 and won the treble with the Spanish giants last season, but was limited to playing in cup competitions as Claudio Bravo was preferred in goal for La Liga matches.
This season he started a few games in the league at the start of the season while Bravo was injured, but things quickly reverted back to the way they were and Kopke reveals it has been hard on the shot stopper.
"It's clear that the situation for him is difficult," he told Kicker "But especially in the games of the second half of the season he carries it off well.
"To prove yourself on the top level right on the money without having the rhythm is also a demanding challenge for the mind. He does an outstanding job solving it.
"They have opted for this model for now, and they can't complain. Even though both keepers apparently are not that satisfied with it."
Ter Stegen himself admitted the situation was not ideal and said he may need to consider his options if things do not change.
"It's difficult because you don't have the rhythm you'd like to have," he told Sport1. "It's my goal to play more often. Should the situation remain like it is now, you'd have to talk at some point. In the long run, it's difficult for a keeper of my age."
