Coventry vs Colchester - Coventry to monitor several injured players ahead of Colchester game

Coventry's injury problems continue to mount as Tony Mowbray prepares his team for the visit of Colchester in League One.

Andy Rose (hamstring), Marc-Antoine Fortune (calf) and Darius Henderson (calf) are all nursing injuries following the defeat to Peterborough on Friday.

James Maddison is also a doubt after sustaining a knock in training while away with England Under-20s.

Some good news for Sky Blues boss Mowbray is the return from international duty of Jack Stephens but Adam Armstrong is not due to return from England Under-19s until after their game against Spain on Tuesday night.

Leo Chambers is a concern for Colchester after an injury forced him off after only 16 minutes against Doncaster.

Should Chambers not be fit then Frankie Kent could come into the team as his replacement in defence.

After winning 4-1 on Friday, U's boss Kevin Keen will probably not make too many changes to his starting line up, although Drey Wright, Richard Brindley and Darren Ambrose are among those players hoping for recalls.

Centre-back Alex Wynter is set to step up his training following a head injury, but midfielder Sammie Szmodics and striker Marvin Sordell are both out following ankle surgery.
