Wigan vs Rochdale - Wigan boss Gary Caldwell unlikely to make changes for Rochdale clash

Gary Caldwell has little reason to make wholesale changes for Sky Bet League One high-fliers Wigan's game against Rochdale.

Latics thrashed Swindon 4-1 on Friday night, with Chris McCann, back from suspension, replacing Ryan Colclough in the only change to the starting line-up.

Will Grigg scored his 19th and 20th goals of the season and will be available again having not been included in Northern Ireland's squad, though Michael Jacobs (calf) and Conor McAleny (hamstring) are still sidelined.

Their respective returns are close, but Jason Pearce, Sanmi Odelusi (foot) and defender Reece James (ankle) are a little further behind.

Grant Holt is vying for a starting place for Rochdale against the club that discarded him back in January.

The striker scored just twice in two-and-a-half years at Wigan, a total he has already matched at Dale, and he will be keen to prove his worth at the DW Stadium.

However, Ian Henderson's return from suspension does give Keith Hill options up front and 34-year-old Holt did play 90 minutes on Friday.

Calvin Andrew (foot), Reuben Noble-Lazarus (hip) and Matty Lund (hamstring) are all sidelined for Hill's side.
