Airdrie United 1 - 1 Albion Rovers FC: Ali Love leaves it late as Albion earn a point against Airdrie
Posted Sunday, March 27, 2016 by PA
Ali Love's late equaliser rescued a point for Albion as they held play-off rivals Airdrie to a 1-1 draw in the final Monklands derby of the season.
Both teams went into the match on the back of successive defeats which had seen Stranraer move four points clear of them in fourth place.
Neither side could force a breakthrough during a cagey first half but the deadlock was broken 10 minutes after the break when Fitzpatrick shot into the roof of the net for his third goal of the season.
They could not hold on, though, as Love headed in from Paul Archibald's cross in the 80th minute to earn a share of the spoils.
