Falkirk 1 - 2 Livingston: Lowly Livingston shock Falkirk
Posted Sunday, March 27, 2016 by PA
A missed penalty in injury time from John Baird saw Falkirk slump to a shock 2-1 defeat at home to second-bottom Livingston in the Scottish Championship.
Jordan White and Sam Stanton put the visitors 2-0 up before Will Vaulks pulled one back and Baird missed the opportunity to salvage a point in a dramatic finish.
White slotted past a helpless Deniz Mehmet on a breakaway to put the visitors 1-0 up in the 76th minute before Stanton doubled the Lions' lead in the 90th minute.
Vaulks pulled one back in the first minute of time added on and it looked as if Falkirk would get at least a draw when Lee Miller was brought down by the subsequently-dismissed Jackson Longridge.
However, goalkeeper Marc McCallum parried away Baird's penalty to give Livingston the win and put them 13 points ahead of bottom-of-the-table Alloa.
