Relegation-threatened Blackpool were pegged back at Bloomfield Road as Danny Mayor struck to earn Bury a 1-1 draw in Sky Bet League One.

The hosts took the lead after 74 minutes as Danny Philliskirk scored from the penalty spot, but Blackpool's lead lasted just a few minutes as the Shakers went up the other end to level.

Bury went close twice in the opening four minutes as Nathan Delfouneso's goal-bound volley was blocked by Tom Aldred before Colin Doyle saved from Mayor.

Blackpool, who have not won at home since January 30, forced a good save from Chris Neal in the 12th minute when Mark Cullen's left wing cross almost crept inside the far post.

Bury started the second half brightly and former Blackpool defender Peter Clarke headed straight at Doyle from 12 yards after good play by Mayor.

But Blackpool took the lead from the spot after 74 minutes when Cian Bolger upended Jim McAlister and Philliskirk stepped up to send Neal the wrong way.

However, Bury hit back just two minutes later when John O'Sullivan's cross from the left found Mayor who slotted home from 12 yards.
