Antonio Conte is pushing Chelsea to sign Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Italian has agreed terms to take over from Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge in the summer but has yet to confirm his appointment, though the former Juventus boss is already eyeing signing targets.
One of the players he will move for is Dortmund centre-back Hummels, with the Germany international out of contract with BVB in 2017 and yet to sign a new deal, making him a viable objective.
Conte sees the World Cup winner as someone who could set an example in the dressing room, effectively filling the void at the back left by John Terry's departure.
