Colchester United vs Doncaster Rovers - Bonne available after admin issues

Colchester will have Macauley Bonne available for the Sky Bet League One clash with Doncaster after administration issues prevented the forward going away on international duty.

The 20-year-old was set to travel for Zimbabwe's African Cup of Nations qualifying double header against Swaziland but was not able to process passport clearance, so instead is available for the U's.

Veteran midfielder Darren Ambrose could be in contention to start again after coming off the bench at Walsall, where the U's lost 2-1 after conceding twice in the final two minutes to leave them bottom of the table and 10 points adrift of safety.

Centre-back Alex Wynter is set to step up his training following a head injury, but midfielder Sammie Szmodics and striker Marvin Sordell are both out following ankle surgery.

Doncaster will include new loan signings Gary McSheffrey and Remi Matthews in their squad.

Winger McSheffrey and goalkeeper Matthews both arrived on loan this week until the end of the season from respective clubs Scunthorpe and Norwich and could make their debuts.

Midfielder Tommy Rowe, on loan from Wolves, is hoping to make his first start after stepping off the bench in last week's home defeat to Peterborough.

Boss Darren Ferguson has reported no new injury problems as his side bids to halt a run of five straight defeats with their first win in 13 league matches.
