Lille OSC 1 - 0 Toulouse: Morgan Amalfitano winner against Toulouse keeps Lille in top-three hunt

Lille kept alive their hopes of a top-three finish in Ligue 1 with a 1-0 home win over lowly Toulouse.

The decisive goal came on 17 minutes, Morgan Amalfitano pouncing on a weak defensive clearance before unleashing a left-footed shot into the corner of the net.

Toulouse had two chances to equalise early in the second half. First Wissam Ben Yedder shot just wide after combining well with Martin Braithwaite, and then Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama denied Tongo Doumbia from close range.

The result meant the Violets remained second bottom of the table, seven points from safety.
