Stevenage Borough vs Northampton Town - No new worries for Stevenage

Posted Friday, March 18, 2016 by PA

Stevenage have no fresh injuries for the clash with Sky Bet League Two leaders Northampton.

Defenders Dean Wells and Jerome Okimo returned from respective hamstring and knee injuries in last week's defeat at Wycombe.

Striker Aaron O'Connor (calf) remains out alongside midfielders Chris Whelpdale (groin) and Charlie Lee (groin).

Steven Schumacher and Dave McAllister (both knee) are long-term absentees.

Disciplined striker James Collins is available for the Cobblers after avoiding a playing ban for his actions at the Cheltenham Festival.

Collins was fined two weeks' wages for urinating in a glass and pouring the liquid over a balcony at the races on Tuesday - but Northampton have not suspended the on-loan Shrewsbury player.

Top scorer Marc Richards is close to making his return from an Achilles strain. He could be named on the bench in Hertfordshire, with Collins continuing to lead the line in his place.

Midfielder Paul Corry is the League Two table-toppers' only long-term absentee.
