Stellone ready for ‘hugely important game’

Frosinone head coach Roberto Stellone admits a win against Carpi on Sunday afternoon will improve their chances of remaining in the Serie A next season.
The tie against last season's Serie B champions is set up as a relegation six-pointer and Stellone remains confident of their chances of survival as a win for Canarini could see them move out of the drop zone to 17th spot, at the expense of Palermo.
"This is going to be a hugely important game," the 38-year old said in the pre-match conference.
"Carpi want to get closer to Palermo and the safety zone, whereas we want to widen the gap. If Palermo lose to Napoli, we can either catch or surpass them in the table.
"Therefore, this is a game we must try to win at all costs. A victory would improve our chances of safety by 70 per cent. A draw would be worth 50 per cent and I still think a defeat leaves us at 40 per cent," he added.
"It's going to be a difficult game because Carpi are fired up to the max. If we lose, then we've got to find at least two or three points against Fiorentina, Genoa and Inter.
"Up until two rounds ago Sampdoria were in deep trouble, but now they seem almost safe. From 30 points down, everyone is at risk.
"In my view, at this moment, Atalanta, Udinese, Palermo, Frosinone and Carpi are all in the running. It's wide open, there are a lot of points up for grabs and someone risks getting relegated because of one point."
