Lorient 1 - 1 Marseille: Lorient and Marseille take points off each other in scrap for Europe

Lorient and Marseille's hopes of clinching a top-four spot took a dent as they battled out a 1-1 draw at the Stade du Moustoir.

The hosts took a 34th minute lead when Waris did well to keep himself onside from Walid Mesloub's through-ball before neatly slotting the ball beyond Steve Mandanda.

The visitors needed just a minute from the restart, though, to level matters up when Mauricio Isla netted after Michi Batshuayi saw his initial effort blocked by Zargo Toure.

Lorient went agonisingly close to stealing the points late on but a superb stop from the reliable Mandanda prevented Raphael Guerreiro from being the hero.
