St. Mirren 2 - 1 Queen of South: Stephen Mallan into double figures as St Mirren win
Posted Sunday, March 13, 2016 by PA
Stephen Mallan scored his 10th goal of the season as St Mirren recorded a 2-1 victory over Queen of the South.
The visitors came close to taking the lead in the 24th minute when Kyle Jacobs' effort from range clipped the bar.
But it was St Mirren who drew first blood six minutes later when Mallan scored from the penalty spot after Lawrence Shankland was fouled.
Queens levelled things up after 62 minutes when Gary Oliver headed past goalkeeper Jamie Langfield, but the hosts regained their advantage just one minute later thanks to an own goal from Callum Tapping.
